Reading Contractor Reviews
- Look for specifics. A review naming the job, the property and the result is worth more than a generic one.
- Check the type of job. A contractor good at patios may not suit a commercial car park.
- Check how problems were handled. What the contractor did next is the useful part.
If Something Goes Wrong
- Raise it with the contractor first. In writing, with your quote and proof of payment.
- Keep your documents. Quote, invoice and messages.
- Escalate if needed. The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud handles many consumer disputes.
